Deborah graduated from Acadia University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Physical Education with specialization in Exercise Studies. While studying at Acadia University, she was involved with Acadia University's Athletic Therapy program and had the opportunity to work with The Acadia University Women's Soccer and Basketball Teams.

Deborah graduated from Dalhousie University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Physiotherapy. She began practicing Physiotherapy in 1999 and has worked in private practice previous to joining the team at Cole Harbour Integrated Health Services in 2005.

Deborah became a Resident of The Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy in 2004 while studying for her Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. In 2006, upon successfully completing her fourth national examination, she received her Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy and was granted Fellowship with The Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy. The successful completion of the examination process is acknowledged by The International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapists (IFOMT). IFOMT is an organization of specialist physiotherapists with an internationally recognized post-graduate qualification.

Deborah, as a Physiotherapist who practices Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy, utilizes 'hands on' physical treatment as a part of the rehabilitative process to restore normal movement and function of patients with neuro-musculoskeletal conditions. She uses techniques including joint manipulation and mobilization, soft tissue techniques,
stretching, exercise prescription and education. She has her certification in Acupuncture with The Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI).

Deborah is a member of The Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), The Orthopeadic Division of Canadian Physiotherapy Association (OPD), The Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (NSCP), and The Canadian Academy of
Manipulative Therapy (CAMT).

Deborah has resided in Cole Harbour since 1988. She is pleased to contribute to her community together with the multidisciplinary group of health professionals at Cole Harbour Integrated Health Services.
