Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the use of very fine, sterile needles into the skin and tissues. The needles are only used once. Acupuncture is used to stimulate the body to produce 'endorphins', chemicals that reduce pain.
Our physiotherapy and chiropractic staff use 'anatomical' acupuncture, focusing more specifically on the injured area. This technique is often referred to as 'dry needling'.
We use acupuncture to encourage healing, reduce or relieve pain, release tight muscles and to improve function to the affected areas of the body.
Acupuncture is a safe and effective technique often used in conjunction with several others as part of a complete treatment plan.
