Casting for Orthotics

As seen in the photo; the Certified Pedorthist uses a plaster casting technique to get an impression of the foot. This technique allows the foot to be captured in its’ most stable position. This is also an accurate way to capture the relationships between the rearfoot and forefoot; resulting in a custom foot orthotic which provides excellent motion control.
