Integrated Health Services welcomes Mary Annette Gillis to our team.

Psychological Services helps you identify and understand the nature of your difficulties, explore the sources of these difficulties and assist you in discovering ways to resolve them.

Common feelings may include:

  • Depression/Sadness
  • Anxiousness/Panic Attacks
  • Burned Out
  • Loneliness/Anger
  • Worthlessness/Inadequacy  

Relating to stressful situations and life events such as:

  • Chronic pain
  • Grief and other serious losses
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Fear of disability
  • Job loss or job change
  • Finances
  • Lack of family/social support
  • Life-threatening chronic illness
  • Difficulty managing your child's/adolescent's behavior

Psychology counselling may include any number of therapeutic approaches for example:

  • Self-evaluation
  • Pain management skills
  • Stress management
  • Relaxation
  • Anger management
  • Assertiveness training
  • Relapse prevention

Our psychologist may decide to use a series of short tests to help in determining what kinds of services would serve you best.

Referrals can be made by a number of sources. These could include physician, community-helping agencies, Workers' Compensation Board, Integrated Health Services staff, and of course, you are welcome to refer yourself.

Worker's Compensation, Employee Assistance and most extended health care programs provide coverage for psychological services.

No medical referral necessary. However, consultation with your doctor is encouraged by our clinic.
